Political vote counts, and insect population counts, each generate results. Characters in this fictional work explore how reports of political vote counts, and insect population counts, are sometimes inaccurate and/or skewed, how sometimes the reported results just do not tell the full story.
Geoff Smith, a Professor at a Chicago University, becomes involved in looking at count results in these two very different areas, one political, one environmental. The reported results from both join together, in a story that begins one cold, snowy November 2024 morning in Chicago .. .. .. ..
